Last weekend the Being Mary Jane Holiday Glam Nail Salon made it’s final stop in Houston. I was selected as a Revlon and #BeingMaryJane Ambassador/Host to help spread the word about the event as well as attend the event and live tweet and take tons of pictures. Tweets? Pictures? Free Manicures in a pink and black themed truck? Sounds fun…and it definitely was!

There were games, prizes, music and an all around good time. Everything was black and pink which are my two favorite colors. I spun the wheel and won a T-shirt( I kinda cheated. Lol) and some Post It notes. If you see pictures on my Instagram of me posting inspirational messages on Post It notes and sticking them everywhere, just know I was inspired by the opening of the Being Mary Jane episodes. The Revlon selfie station was my favorite. We snapped pictures of ourselves and our nails and shared them on social media with #Revelon. Y’all know I love a good selfie…and that lip gloss they gave us in our swag bags is to die for!!

Inside the truck we were given manicures by the ladies of Got Nails Nailtique! The lady who did my nails-Audrey aka Coco was so much fun! She was hilarious and she was keeping it real as we watched the sneak peaks of upcoming episodes.

The DJ was so much fun! And we both were wearing the vegan leather trend.  I love female dj’s! They are always nice and they generally dress well too! They also inspire me, secretly, I’ve always wanted to be a DJ…”DJ TAY-TAY”.

My friend Paige went to the event with me. She was kinda mad at me because I didn’t tell what the dress code was. Lol I was most definitely overdressed…but you know how I do. #Extra We are still cute though…even if it does look like we are going two different places.

Allure goes to UofH with me and she was also my assistant when I was Director of Court Activities on the Homecoming Board. It’s so good to see my friends out at events…it’s even cooler to see them working at an event doing the things they love! This event was a blasty blast and it really got me pumped up for the remainder of the season! Being Mary Jane comes on every Tuesday at 9pm Central and the show is EVERYTHING!
