Sparkle-Posh-Pup-BlogPaws-Recap

A little over two weeks ago, I attended my first ever BlogPaws Conference! This was a big adventure for me as it was my first time flying, staying in a hotel, and attending a big event. I’m a couple weeks late with my recap because my human and I were moving during this time as well. It’s been a super busy couple of weeks for us.

My First Flight

Sparkle-In-Her-Airport-Carrier

Southwest Airlines allows dogs to ride in cabin with their humans. You have to be in an airline approved carrier and sit under the seat in front of your human (like a carry on) you also count as one of their carry ons too. It wasn’t too bad, I get really anxious, so my mommy gave me an anti-anxiety pill so I was pretty calm and slept most of the flight there. On the flight back, we had a layover, and the airport was so loud and busy, that I got kinda scared, but my mommy held me until I got back on the flight and I went back to sleep. Layovers aren’t good for doggies, fyi.

My First Hotel Experience

Holiday-Inn-Express-Nashville-AirportI stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Nashville Airport. This hotel offers a complimentary shuttle that takes you from the airport to the hotel and to places within 2 miles of the hotel. Luckily, our conference was held at the Sheraton Music City (a little over 2 miles away) and the awesome shuttle driver took us there every day of the event. The hotel was dog friendly and even had a little enclosed outdoor space where doggies can run around and relieve themselves.  There is a $100 Pet Fee per stay. The staff was really nice and they were so impressed that I was here for a pet blogger conference and that I’d be in a pet food video.

The Conference

Talk about sensory overload. There were tons of other dogs there, booths from every pet company you can think of (with treats), lots of activities, human food, and sounds from everywhere!

Sparkle Posh Pup Goes To BlogPaws

My human and I met so many different brands who wanted to connect with bloggers and also inform us of all the neat things they had to offer. We ended up with SO much stuff. Thankfully my mom bought an extra suitcase…we filled one up entirely with swag.

We attended several educational sessions where I met lots of other pets and got some good naps. Luckily, mom could stay awake to get notes from the session.

The parties were pretty awesome too. I was sooo full from my food ( and some of the human food). I even got to sit at the human table. By the last night, (when we had the red carpet) I was too tired to continue to participate. I went to the room and knocked out after.

We had such a blast and can’t wait to head to Phoenix for next year! This was our first time, but it definitely won’t be the last.
